Supporting over 28 NHS Hospitals with vital PPE

Crowdfunded by the VisorArt dept (@visorartdept) through Just Giving and raising over £30,000, Isleworth manufacturing company CP Cases has recently partnered with the VisorArts team in lifting the scale of production of PPE equipment for over 28 NHS Hospitals. With to >1500 face visors a week; production has not stopped.

With £30,000 raised by crowdfunding, 15,000 visors have been supplied to date.

This ongoing valiant effort has supported over 28 NHS hospitals in London and the Home Counties, together with 20 Nursing and Care Homes, Doctors and Medical Centres, District Nurses, Charity and Carers organisations, chemists, dentists and other public vulnerable requests.

The lack of PPE for the NHS Hospitals has brought the nation together in assisting wherever and whatever they can, in getting our brave frontline workers in the NHS, Care Homes and other essential services.

From individual families working on their dining tables, to fully equipped manufacturing companies – we are all working as one in this “Call to Arms” to ensure these heroes have the best protection we can give them. Every single item of PPE helps, but the huge spike in demand has completely outstripped the usual supply chains, leaving too many workers too vulnerable.

Using the latest hi-tech materials and production technology to maximise output and maintain consistent quality and repeatability. Moving from the artisan making of a few a day to manufacturing thousands a week requires the right machinery.

CP Cases has mobilised some of its production capabilities in utilising their large industrial band knives, flat (vacuum) bed CNC cutter, and another sophisticated machinery to scale the output up, and together with Visor Arts has developed a unique fully adjustable headband, which combined with the medical-grade, low density closed cell foam pad, provides a comfortable visor fit suitable for the long shift patterns these frontline workers are putting in.

The face shield is made from 0.5mm clear acetate, and the whole assembly can be sterilised for repeat use. Boxed and delivered to hospitals and care homes on a daily basis, our committed team works tirelessly to continue to provide our face visors – a big thank you to you all.

*** Head of Production at CP Cases, states:

“The response to the Crowdfunding campaign has been incredible and the sum that the team have raised surpasses their original goal, and continues to increase. We’re happy to support such a worthy cause and have the capacity to make a real difference, increasing the production capabilities to supply more crucial equipment to help frontline workers stay safe. We would implore anyone who can to consider donating through the JustGiving page with any spare money to support the effort from the VisorArts team”
