Air Conditioned Transit Cases
Air Conditioned Transit Cases
CP Cases has been considered the industry leader in Air-Conditioned Transit Cases (AC/TC), since their initial development in 2005. We offer air conditioning options for our Amazon Racks, as well as all 4U and larger ERacks. Air conditioning can be provided using either a Thermoelectric (TEU) or a Vapor Compression Cycle (VCC) unit. The size and type of AC unit is selected based on the cooling output required to keep the electronics operating in the optimal environment. The cooling required is dependent on various factors like heat output of the electronics and geographic location of use. Many of our air-conditioned transit cases utilize an extra, smaller case called a COOL COLLAR to permanently house the ac unit. This allows the operator to connect the cases during operation and disconnect them for storage and transport. It also gives users access to the rear of their electronics without depopulating the chassis.
Injection Molded Cases
Injection Molded Cases
The 3i Series Cases are injection molded from ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, material specified by the U.S. military for cases and containers. It features a gasketed, water and dust-tight submersible design, meeting military standard MIL-C-4150J.

Rackmount Transit Cases
ERack is a lightweight, 19-inch ruggedized aluminum transit rack for protection of electronics and secure communications equipment. It is specifically designed for commercial and military applications when protection against physical, climatic and electromagnetic hazards are required, and where weight, strength and portability are critical issues. The external monocoque container is manufactured from 1.5mm aluminum alloy providing resistance to corrosion, impact and deformation. ERacks retain exceptional strength after welding and are used extensively for aircraft parts, pressure vessels, marine structures and rugged transport containers.

ERack benefits from patented new technology. The external container has an innovative folded rim design, which eliminates the edge extrusion and makes the case stronger, lighter and more resistant to ingress by water and dust. The internal chassis frame is supported by special mounts which protect against shock. ERack is up to 30% lighter than other rack cases in its class. ERack has access to the front and rear 19-inch chassis via precision manufactured interchangeable lids. Each lid is secured to the rack body by front mounted quarter turn latches (allowing front and rear access when stacked). Positive location between lids and body is achieved by ERack’s unique male/female extrusions which incorporate a design copyright silicon seal giving all weather protection to IP65. ERack’s unique 19-inch chassis design is constructed from aluminum coated with Iridite Non-Chrome Passivation (NCP), delivering enhanced lightness and rigidity. The chassis is mounted on eight or sixteen elastomeric mounts, fixed to the outer casing by robust anchor plates, which are focused towards the center of mass of the case, ensuring the electronic equipment is protected against vibration and impact. ERack’s suspended inner chassis can move up to 2" independently of the outer container, and in any direction. An earthing / grounding strap is fitted to maintain conductivity between the equipment and the outer container.
