CP Cases has been considered the industry leader in Air-Conditioned Transit Cases (AC/TC), since their initial development in 2005. We offer air conditioning options for our Amazon Racks, as well as all 4U and larger ERacks. Air conditioning can be provided using either a Thermoelectric (TEU) or a Vapor Compression Cycle (VCC) unit. The size and type of AC unit is selected based on the cooling output required to keep the electronics operating in the optimal environment. The cooling required is dependent on various factors like heat output of the electronics and geographic location of use. Many of our air-conditioned transit cases utilize an extra, smaller case called a COOL COLLAR to permanently house the ac unit. This allows the operator to connect the cases during operation and disconnect them for storage and transport. It also gives users access to the rear of their electronics without depopulating the chassis.

Weather Protection for Remote Head Outside Broadcast Cameras.
As lockdown eases and we move closer towards a new normal, the world of sport prepares for kick-off later this month. With more remote-controlled cameras being used at sporting events; means a rising need for OB camera covers and equipment protective again.
CP Cases have developed some great solutions to provide protection against the sun, wind and rain. This protective casing will take away the threat of an on-air kit breakdown. We are regarded as the leading manufacturers of specialised protective cases and covers. Spanning across a huge mix of industrial, military and broadcast applications. CP Cases have been manufacturing at our UK HQ for nearly 50 years.
We have used the same advanced construction techniques that we used for our well-established range of OB camera covers. The remote headcovers are available in a choice of 8 different fabric colours. “Adding protective covers for Vinten and Egripment remote heads to our popular range of OB camera covers seems like an obvious move”, says head of technical sales, Stuart Watson.
Continuing “our stockholding of high-performance materials allows us to respond quickly to those out-of-the-blue requests. Whether they have colour choices that will comply with the venue or corporate messaging. We can also provide full colour digitally printed logos which can be permanently heat-fused directly onto the cover surface. Or can even be applied as Velcro fixed label, for those events when anonymity is necessary”.
Originally developed by CP Cases in 2018 for the world’s leading remote camera specialists Camera Corps Ltd; these covers were first used in temperatures as low as -18°C at winter sports events. Ensuring that full PZT functions (pan, zoom & tilt) are not inhibited in any way and that cable connectivity is as easy as possible are key attributes for installation and operational simplicity.
