Effective design depends on a combination of creativity and technical expertise and the obvious solution is not always the most appropriate. Our designers call upon a wealth of in-depth knowledge of materials and production processes and have the communication skills to fully engage the customer in the design process. The four steps shown below represent the process at CP Cases for a typical OEM design project:
- Design Concept – Client discussion to finalize the brief. Development and refinement of ideas.
- Concept Development – Refinement and development of the concept, identification of manufacturing and pricing issues, followed by presentation of full-size model to client.
- Prototyping – Finalizing drawings of prototype after resolving mechanical and manufacturing aspects.
- Manufacture – First-run manufacture after defining manufacturing, assembly, dispatch and quality methods.
