“When launching a UAV, subsea automaton, or any kind of uncrewed sophisticated equipment in a challenging environment, you want to be confident that it will function and has not been damaged in transit or storage. And that’s where we come in.” Chris Gers is the Director Business Development of specialist protective case manufacturer, CP Cases. He adds: “We work closely with developers and operators of a wide range of mission critical equipment and design solutions that provide the highest levels of protection for their kit.”
The individual solution will depend on the equipment and operational environment. For CP Cases this typically means one of their rotomoulded or aluminium cases, as well as rugged textiles and 19 inch racks that are MIL-STD-810 and rated IP65 or IP66. As a key supplier to defence agencies, many of their products also carry NATO stock numbers.
CNC-cut foam inserts from a high-density polyethylene foam, such as plastazote, provides cushioning within their range of cases. These are custom-cut to perfectly fit the dimensions and shape of the kit. For electronics equipment, CP Cases’ 19 inch racks can fitted with elastomeric or wire rope anti-vibration mounts to insulate equipment from vibrations, shocks and impacts.
All of their cases and racks can be fitted with pressure valves to equalise pressure while minimising the risk of dust or water ingress and many have the option for shielding from electromagnetic interference, as well as climate control options for keeping kit cool in extreme temperatures.
“Our range of robust rotomoulded Amazon cases are already used by leading names in the UAV sector. Our Airship range of rugged textile solutions are popular for their ultralightweight properties”, explains Chris Gers. “Xponential provides a wonderful opportunity to network further within this sector and for us to demonstrate how by tailoring a solution that meets the individual needs of uncrewed equipment, we can maximise its operational potential.”
CP Cases are exhibiting at Xponential Europe 2025, Hall 1 Stand E-34.
